Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat cushion pad having a high damping which decreases the resonance magnification at 2-4 Hz and also decreases the transmissibility of vibration at around 6 Hz to a level identical to or lower than the conventional level.
SOLUTION: A seat cushion pad comprises a polyurethane foam having a skin layer and a core layer prepared by injecting a polyurethane foam material into a mold and molding this. Here, the upholstery part has a monolayered structure, and the polyurethane foam material comprises 30 to 80 pts.wt. polyether polyol having a hydroxy value of 20 to 40, preferably 24 to 36 mg KOH/g and an ethylene oxide unit at the end as a polyol component, 70 to 20 pts.wt. polymer polyol having a hydroxy value of 15 to 30 mg KOH/g, a silicon foam stabilizer, a foaming agent and a polyisocyanate compound as structural materials. The silicon foam stabilizer yields a free expanded foam having a height of ≥225 mm.
