To provide a seat frame having an energy absorbing part for absorbing energy relating to rear collision in an efficiently concentrative manner while causing the deformation.
The seat frame includes a seat cushion frame consisting of a pair of side frames formed of plate-like members laterally opposing each other at a space, and a seat back frame connected to the rear parts of the pair of side frames, at least one of the pair of side frames having the energy absorbing part extending frontward from part of the rear end, the energy absorbing part being formed as a recessed part where part of the plate-like member is recessed toward the opposite side frame or toward the opposite side thereto, the recessed part having a peripheral edge defined by the rear edge extending between the upper end on the rear end of one side frame and the lower end on the rear end located below the upper end, the upper edge extending from the upper end to the front end of the recessed part, and the lower edge extending from the lower end to the front end.
