Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate impact energy applied because of material characteristics of a diagonal member itself, in other words, the plastic deformation so as to increase safety for a seat and to reduce a deformation amount for the seat after absorbing a shock by changing a connecting system between the diagonal member and a leg part constituting a leg structure without adding any special shock absorbing device or any member in the leg structure.
CONSTITUTION: A seat is constructed by a leg structure, in which a seat bottom 4 and a seat back are mounted on a base frame 3 suspended between a front beam 1 and a rear beam 2, and a diagonal member 8 is suspended from the front beam 1 supported by a front leg 6 to the lower rear side of the seat, while a rear leg 9 supporting the rear beam 2 is supported and fixed on the approximately intermediate position of the diagonal member 8. A shock absorbing function by an absorbing action of mechanical energy according to the plastic deformation in the diagonal member 8 is provided, and increase in structural weight of the seat is avoided.
