To provide a seat load measurement device allowing reduction of the number of components to simplify a configuration, allowing reduction of cost, and capable of being made to be wholly compact, and to provide an occupant protection system using it.
In this seat load measurement device 1, a sensor board 37 of a load sensor 3 detecting a seat load is integrally provided with an electronic control unit (ECU) 9 controlling operation of an occupant protection device 8. Accordingly, a sensor side connector, a sensor connecting connector, an ECU side connector, an ECU connecting connector, and a harness connecting the load sensor 3 and the ECU 9, conventionally provided correspondingly to the load sensor 3 can be dispensed with. Thereby, the number of the harnesses can be reduced by one as compared to before, the configure of the seat load measurement device 1 can be simplified, and the cost can be reduced by just that much.
