Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow force acting on a seat belt anchor to be distributed into the floor side so as to have a sufficient strength maintained against the bending moment of a rail without increasing the thickness of sheet metals used. CONSTITUTION:Both a seat belt anchor 4 and a mounting bracket 6 are fixed on an upper rail 3 which is engaged with a lower rail 1. And a bent section 6c which is formed at the lower end of the above said bracket 6, is slidably engaged with a bent section 10 of a reinforcing rail 9 which is fixed on the lower rail 1. In this configuration, a support bracket which is bent, is fixed underneath the middle section of the reinforcing rail 9. And the support bracket 12 is bolted (13) together with the side wall of a floor so as to allow the floor tunnel F.T. to support the middle section of the reinforcing rail 9. This configuration enables a force acting on the seat belt anchor 4 to be distributed into the floor side.
