To provide a distortion detector of superior working efficiency, with reduced attached components, and usability.
This distortion detector is provided with a columnar resilient element 2 for generating a distortion by a load, a resistance element 4 arranged in an outer circumferential face of the resilient element 2, with a resistance value, varied in response to a distortion amount, and a signal processing circuit 6 wire-connected to the resistance element 4 to detect the distortion amount of the resilient element 2, the resilient element 2 is formed into a columnar shape, having a cavity 8 along an axial direction, an outer shape of the resilient element 2 is formed into a square pole shape, and the cavity 8 is also formed into a square pole shape. A screw part 10 is arranged orthogonal and directionally to the axial direction of the resilient element 2 to sandwich the resilient element 2, and the resilient element 2 and the screw part 10 are welded each other to be integrated jointed.
