PURPOSE: To make it possible to prevent a tongue from playing in a holding cavity of a buckle and making noise of striking and contacting by a method wherein a device of giving resiliency is provided for the tongue so that the buckle and tongue may spring back each other.

CONSTITUTION: As a device of giving resiliency, an elastic member (16) is provided at the boundary between a wide part (12) and a narrow part (13) of a tongue (11), and is, as one body, projected in longitudinal direction at both ends of its top and bottom. An elastic material with a proper amount of elasticity, such as rubber or resin, is used for the elastic member (16), it (16) is put together on the tongue (11) by baking, and a part of it is plugged into the through holes (15) bored on the tongue (11). At the rear end of the elastic member (16), semi-cylindrical formation (17) of which the upper and lower sides taper down to a rear, is formed, and it (17) is wrought so that the tongue (11) and buckle (1) may spring back each other by elasticity when depressed on the taper section (3) of the hollow slit for inserting the tongue (11). It is also possible to surely prevent the tongue (11) from playing in the holding cavity (2) of the buckle, since part of the elastic member (16) is intruded into the narrow clearance between the holding cavity (2) and the tongue (11).
