Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the seating rate and to improve the service through the improvement of accuracy of the guide display by informing passengers of a seating state of not-reserved seats in an express train or the like and number of estimated get-off customers before they are getting on.
CONSTITUTION: The system is made up of an automatic ticket examination device fitted to each seat, an inter-train transmission channel used to inform a customer of a seating state, an on-train processing unit 2 collecting the seating state information and sending it to a ground device, a monitor 12 used for display on train, a radio transmitter-receiver 11, a radio communication equipment 5, a communication cable 13 used to receive information on the ground station, a transmission controller 9, a central processing unit 9 for central processing, a seat reservation system 10, a transmission lien 3 used to sent information to each station, a train information sensor 14 installed in rails, a station processing unit 1 for station processing, and seating state display device 8 installed to each platform and each concourse.
