Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seawater desalination system capable of stably producing fresh water by reducing contamination of a reverse osmosis membrane.SOLUTION: A seawater desalination system includes a plurality of filters 21a, 21b, 21c connected in series and installed upstream of a reverse osmosis membrane 50 for filtering seawater, flow passage switching means 22 for switching an order of seawater flow of each filter 21a, 21b, 21c, and a controller 60 for switching a flow passage from the second filter 21b and the third filter 21c having biomass overloaded to the first filter 21a using the flow passage switching means 22, when the effluent water from the filters 21b and 21c gets more biomass than a predetermined value.
