Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide seawater electrolysis equipment, a seawater electrolysis system and a seawater electrolysis method, which enable durability of an electrode to be enhanced and degradation in the chlorine generation efficiency of which can be suppressed.SOLUTION: The seawater electrolysis system is provided which comprises seawater electrolysis equipment 10 and a circulation flow passage. The seawater electrolysis equipment 10 electrolyzes sea water W flowing into an electrolytic cell body 20 stored with anodes A and cathodes K as electrodes 30, by currents supplied among the anodes A and cathodes K. The seawater electrolysis equipment 10 uses anodes A in which titanium is coated with a coating material containing iridium oxide, the seawater electrolysis equipment 10 includes a power supply device 40 which applies currents among the anodes A and cathodes K in such a way that current density of a surface of each electrode 30 falls within the range of 20 A/dmto 40 A/dm. The circulation flow passage mixes the electrolyzed sea water W flowing out from an outflow port 25 of the electrolytic cell body 20 with the sea water W prior to inflow from an inflow port 23 of the electrolytic cell body 20.
