Abstract:
To provide a technology capable of accurately detecting pulsation of a pressure in a secondary air supply passage.SOLUTION: A secondary air supply device includes: an engine; an intake passage in which air sucked to the engine flows; an exhaust passage in which an exhaust gas discharged from the engine flows; an exhaust gas purification member disposed in the exhaust passage and including a catalyst for purifying the exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust passage; a secondary air supply passage in communication with the intake passage and connected to the exhaust passage at an upstream side with respect to the exhaust gas purification member; a control valve disposed on the secondary air supply passage for opening/closing the secondary air supply passage; a control section for switching an open state and a close state of the control valve; an air pump disposed on the secondary air supply passage at an upstream side with respect to the control valve and pressure-feeding the air in a direction toward the exhaust passage; an upstream-side pressure sensor detecting an upstream-side pressure in the secondary air supply passage at an upstream side with respect to the control valve; and a downstream-side pressure sensor detecting a downstream-side pressure in the secondary air supply passage at a downstream side with respect to the control valve.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
