Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge and discharge device capable of more effectively utilizing a plurality of secondary cells with variations in performance, and to provide a power storage system using the same.SOLUTION: A secondary cell charge and discharge device 1 includes: a plurality of secondary cells B1-B8; a power storage section 2 which is constructed by connecting a plurality of capacitors C1-C4 in series to each other and connected with an external conversion device; and a connection device 3 for charging or discharging the secondary cells. The connection device 3, when charging the secondary cells B1-B8 by discharging the power storage section 2, connects a capacitor selected from a plurality of the capacitors C1-C4 with a secondary cell selected from a plurality of the secondary cells B1-B8, and when charging the power storage section by discharging the secondary cells, repeatedly takes a process for charging respective secondary cells in order by sequentially connecting each with a plurality of the capacitors C1-C4.
