Abstract:

To fully regenerate electric power even if a low fuel consumption travel mode is selected, relating to a secondary battery cooling device mounted on an electric vehicle.

When a low fuel consumption travel mode is selected (S102), a control curve of a cooling fan air volume relative to a secondary battery temperature is switched from a normal control curve in a normal travel mode to such control curve as the air volume of a cooling fan is larger than the normal control curve, to increase the air volume of the cooling fan. If no passenger is seated on a rear seat close to an air intake opening which takes the air in a cabin into the cooling fan (S106, NO), the control curve of the cooling fan air volume is switched to such control curve as the air volume of cooling fan further increases than when a passenger is seated on the rear seat, for larger air volume of the cooling fan.
