The secondary battery 100 is provided with a wound electrode body 80 in which a positive electrode sheet 10 having a positive electrode active material layer 14 provided on both sides of a positive electrode current collector 12 and a negative electrode sheet 20 having a negative electrode active material layer 24 provided on both sides of a negative electrode current collector 22 are wound through separator sheets 30A, 30B, and which presents an outline of flat shape. The separator sheets 30A, 30B have separator sheet extra-length portions 38A, 38B which are wound inside than the innermost circumference portion 16 of the positive electrode sheet 10, and the separator sheet extra-length portions 38A, 38B are arranged so as to wind at least two rounds inside than the innermost circumference portion 16 of the positive electrode sheet 10.
