Abstract:
To provide a secondary battery and a method for manufacturing the secondary battery, which can simultaneously achieve both bonding between an external terminal and a collector terminal and securing of sealability between the external terminal, a gasket, and a lid member.SOLUTION: In the secondary battery 1 according to an aspect of the present disclosure, an external terminal 21 includes a columnar portion 41 whose bottom surface 42 is joined to a collector terminal 22, a projecting portion 43 projecting downward from the bottom surface 42 of the columnar portion 41, and a protrusion 46 that is formed so as to protrude outward on the outer peripheral surface 45 of the lower end portion 44 of the columnar portion 41 by crushing the projecting portion 43 when the bottom surface 42 of the columnar portion 41 and the upper surface 33 of the current collector terminal 22 are joined together, and compresses a gasket 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
