A charge/discharge control method of a secondary battery includes an additional charging step S8 for supplying power generated by the regenerative brake of a hybrid automobile 1 to the secondary battery 100 after discharging the secondary battery 100, assuming the value of electrical quantity required for increasing the SOC of a secondary battery 100 by 5% is a first reference value, and for charging the secondary battery 100 when the value of electrical quantity which charges the secondary battery 100 by regenerative charging for charging the secondary battery 100 does not reach the first reference value. The additional charging step S8 charges the secondary battery 100 until the total charging value, i.e., the total value of electrical quantity which has charged the secondary battery 100 by regenerative charging and the electrical quantity which has charged the secondary battery 100 at the additional charging step S8, reaches the first reference value.
