Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery arranged so that the occurrence of internal short circuit owing to the thermal shrinkage of a separator can be suppressed.SOLUTION: A secondary battery comprises: an electrode body 20 including positive and negative electrodes, and a separator disposed between the positive and negative electrodes, and arranged by winding a laminate of the positive electrode, the separator and the negative electrode; a square case body 31 in which the electrode body 20 is encased together with an electrolyte solution; and a holding body 41 provided in the case body 31 for holding the electrode body 20. The electrode body 20 has curved portions 120 each making an appearance of a curved shape. The holding body 41 is provided so as to at least partially constrain the curved portions 120 with a pressure of 0.6 MPa or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
