To suppress outflow of an electrolyte solution from an electrode body.SOLUTION: A secondary battery 1 includes an electrode body 3 including a positive electrode 32 including a positive electrode plate 32a and a positive electrode active material layer 32b, a negative electrode 33 including a negative electrode plate 33a and a negative electrode active material layer 33b, and a separator 31 held between the positive electrode 32 and the negative electrode 33, and current collector plates 4a and 5a connected to the respective end parts 3a and 3b of the positive electrode plate 32a and the negative electrode plate 33a in a central axis direction. The positive electrode plate 32a and the negative electrode plate 33a include an active material layer formation part P1 and an active material layer non-formation part P2. The separator 31 includes a plurality of projections 7 provided at predetermined intervals along a direction and extending in a first direction. At least some of the projections 7 each include a first protrusion 71 facing the active material layer formation part P1, and a second protrusion 72 facing the active material layer non-formation part P2 and protruding higher than the first protrusion 71 in a second direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
