PURPOSE: To provide a secondary battery having high voltage, high energy efficiency and high discharge capacity by using a nitrophenyl disulfide type compound as a positive electrode active material.
CONSTITUTION: After regulating solution formed by dissolving 3 nitrophenyl disulfide of 5mol/l and lithium perchlorate of 0.1mol/l as electrolyte salute into dimethyl sulfoxide as solvent, a positive electrode 1 is formed by soaking carbon felt into this. Polypropylene nonwoven fabric is used as a separator 2, and metallic lithium is used as a negative electrode 3. These are confined in a stainless container 4, and are sealed by an epoxy resin type sealing material 5, and this battery is obtained. In this way, since a nitrophenyl disulfide type compound is used as a positive electrode active material, a secondary battery having high voltage and energy efficiency can be obtained even in the vicinity of a normal temperature.
