Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize the simplicity of a password system and to improve the security level by comparing a generated qualified icon with a stored qualified icon that undergone the qualification proper to a user and approving the use of computer resources when the coincidence is confirmed between both icons.
SOLUTION: When a user ID is inputted after the registration is selected on the initial screen of a terminal 20, plural basic icons to be paired with available applications are displayed. The basic icons are selected and a qualified icon proper to a user is generated based on the grid-like intersections and the straight lines connecting these intersections. The qualified icon is registered in a storage 22-1 connected to a management server 22 as the user management information together with the user ID. When the user ID is inputted when an application is used, the terminal 20 acquires the corresponding qualified icon from the server 22 and stores this icon. Then the terminal 20 compares the stored icon with the qualified icon that is inputted by a user and displays a desired application execution screen when the coincidence is confirmed between both icons.
