Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent generation of gear noise by disposing, in a shift and select shaft, a cam of which the top is engaged with or disengaged from a forward advance stage shift yoke, and pressingly energizing the cam toward an interlock plate side by a spring so as to cope with speedy operation to reverse shift.
CONSTITUTION: When a select operation to the reverse is carried out, a shift and select shaft 86 is moved in the axial direction integrally with an interlock plate 88. At this time, the top of a cam 160 is moved to a position to be engaged with a first-speed and second-speed shift yoke 126. When a clutch is released and a shift operation to the reverse is performed, the shift and select shaft 86 is rotated so that the cam 160 is rotated in the same direction, thus pressing the first-speed and second-speed shift yoke 126 toward a second- speed counter gear. Subsequently, the cam 160 is rotated on a pin 170 by engagement of an inclined surface of the interlock plate 88 with an engaging projection of the cam 160, thereby released from the engagement with the first-speed and second-speed shift yoke 126 so as to perform reverse shift.
