This plant carpet comprises a light medium mainly composed of a thin piece of bark of needle-leaved tree, peat moss, pumice, etc., and one or both of a woven fabric-like part formed by mutual entanglement of roots of sedums planted in the medium at the lower side of the light medium and a net-like part formed by terrestrial stems or subterranean stems of the sedums planted in the medium and roots growing from the subterranean stems from the surface layer to the interior of the light medium.
