To provide a fabric for clothes, exhibiting excellent see-through-preventing properties regardless of a small weight per unit area.

The see-through-preventing fabric includes a double woven structure having a front side and a back side wherein the front side color is a light color represented by a L* value of ≥70 in the L*a*b* color system (CIE 1976) measured by using a standard light source of D65, and the back side color is a neutral color having the minimum absorptivity of ≥20% measured by using visual light in a wave length region of 400-750 nm. Preferably, the color of the front side of the fabric is white, and the color of the back side is one of beige, pale gray and gray. Also preferably, the color of the front side is a light color except white, and the color of the back side is a neutral color having a hue of a color in the like series of the color of the front side.
