Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a seed treating agent contg. a salt of vitamin B1 in the form of fine powder, promoting the growth of a plant and capable of enhancing the yield of the objective product. CONSTITUTION: This seed treating agent contains a salt of vitamin B1 , preferably mononitrate in the form of fine powder or further contains a nonbactericidal fungicide. The salt preferably has <=20μm average particle size. The fungicide is preferably a phthalimide such as N-trichloromethylthiotetrahydrophthalimide, a thiuram sulfide such as tetramethylthiuram disulfide or a thiocarbamoyl fungicide. This treating agent is preferably applied to seed before planting at 0.3-4g/kg concn.
