PURPOSE: To provide a transplanter equipped with a fertilizer-applying device and having a good weight balance in the longitudinal direction without generating a fertilizer-free area at the starting time of seedling transplanting and without generating the flow-out of the fertilizer after the transplantation is finished.

CONSTITUTION: A fertilizer-delivering roller 36 of a fertilizer-applying device is disposed on the front of a seedling transplanter, and a seedling sensor 43 for detecting the presence of already planted seedlings is disposed on the front of a seedling-transplanting bar 31 of the seedling transplanter. The rotation of the delivering roller 36 is preliminarily started or stopped, while a time when the fertilizer reaches from the delivering roller 36 to a place near to the seedling-transplanting bar 31.
