Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seeking processing time measuring device capable of finding a time required for seeking processing, for lightening the feeling of discomfort of a user in seeking operation.
SOLUTION: A key frame interval measuring section 101 measures the maximum value of the number of frames in a key frame interval from the header information of digital data designated by the user 300. A seeking processing time calculation section 102 calculates the theoretical maximum value (the maximum seeking processing time) of the time required for seeking processing by multiplying a decoding processing time for one frame of compressed moving image data set from the viewpoint of system performance with the measured maximum number of frames. The calculation is reported to the user 300, and warning corresponding to the maximum seeking processing time is issued by moving image player.
