PURPOSE: To install the transfer equipment which surely transfers segments in the circumferential direction of the whole of a ring shield machine, from a working pit, even if the working pit exists at one place, and can arrange the segments efficiently in succession, freely from the obstruction for a propulsion jack.

CONSTITUTION: As for a ring shield machine consisting of a shield machine equipped with the inside and outside skin plates 11a and 11b through the connection of the unit excavating machines 6a and 6b in a ring form, each propulsion jack 8 is installed vertically, keeping an interval on the unit excavating machines 6a and 6b. A ring shaped guide rail 18 is arranged in the peripheral direction of the whole of the ring shield machine so as to pass through between the propulsion jack 8. On a segment holding body which travels on the guide rail 18, a parallel link arm 23 which catches the segment and is positioned above and below a holding body 19.
