To provide a segment joint structure which is simple in structure, easy to implement, and positively prevents a male joint from being broken during handling of segments.
The segment joint structure 10 is formed of the male joint 12 and a female joint 13. The male joint 12 is disengageably connected to an insert nut 14 which is embedded in a one-side connecting end 11c of a concrete segment (segment) 11, and has a shaft portion 15 projected from a connecting surface 11a of the segment. The female joint 13 is embedded in a connecting end 11d on the other side of the segment. The male joint 13 connected to one of the segments 11 adjacent to each other has its fitting shaft 15a press-inserted into a fitting hole 13a of the female joint 13 embedded in the other segment, wherein the fitting hole 13a is slightly smaller in diameter than the fitting shaft 15a, and the connecting surfaces 11a, 11b of the respective segments, make contact with each other, to thereby connect the segments 11 together. The shaft 15 of the male joint 12 is detached from the segment during handling of the segments, such as during transportation of the same.
