Abstract:
PURPOSE: To cope with an earthquake or uneven settlement by forming a segment lining a tunnel inner face and constructing a timbering out of resin concrete mixed with a granular or powdery elastic material for flexibility.
CONSTITUTION: This segment 1 is formed out of resin concrete bonded with crushed stones 10B serving as the aggregate, silica sand, and calcium carbonate to a resin 10A via a binder mixed with a prescribed quantity of elastic grains 10C, and it has flexibility. The rear ring joint face 13 of the segment 1 is connected to the front ring joint face of an existing segment in a tunnel, another segment forming a ring with the segment 1 is connected to a segment joint face 11, and these procedures are repeated in sequence for execution. Connecting grooves 12A, 13A of the front and rear ring joint faces 12, 13 are matched together, and they are pressed and stuck by the propulsion reaction force. The segment joint faces 11 are connected by segment joint bolts while packings are arranged in the grooves.
