Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start restoration operation in an upstream most segment in segments where faults are detected by detecting a fault occurred to a pass by monitoring an input signal and having the detected fault restored in accordance with control of a relationship between the detection of the fault and an operation corresponding to this.
SOLUTION: A fault detection function 1-3 monitors an external signal 1-2 to be inputted and detects it as a fault occurrence when it is stopped. When the fault is detected at a first node in the downstream of a fault occurring point, a similar fault is detected also at the subsequent nodes in the downstream. A fault restoration operation is performed at a restoration circuit 1-6 at a first node in the downstream and an overlapped operation is not executed at the subsequent nodes in the downstream. An operation control function 1-4 is provided so as to avoid this overlapped operation and the restoration circuit 1-6 first operates. The operation control function 1-4 is executed by activating a guard time set means by a timer of fault restoration operation start. The fault restoration operation is performed at a most upstream node which detects the fault.
