Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic breaking device capable of making a proper determination on earthquake motion for which electric power supply should be cut off without reference to the structure or installation place of a building.SOLUTION: A seismic breaking device 5 which is connected directly or indirectly to a wall-embedded type outlet 100 includes: a measurement part 7 which measures acceleration and cycles of a shake; a determination part 8 which sends a breaking signal on the basis of a count of how many times the value of the acceleration measured by the measurement part 7 exceeds a threshold within a predetermined unit time; and a breaker 10 which breaks power supply from a power supply part to the outlet into which a plug of an electric appliance is inserted on the basis of the breaking signal output from the determination part. The determination part 8 differs in count number for sending the breaking signal with the cycles.
