Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic isolator which exhibits superior seismic performance irrespective of a mounting load, damping performance proportional to the mounting load, a trigger function for preventing actuation at a small earthquake motion, a restoration function of restoring to an original position upon earthquake completion, and further yawing prevention function of a device itself upon earthquake occurrence.SOLUTION: A seismic isolator includes: a base 1, allowing a pair of lower rails 2, 2 of which a center part assumes the lowest part and both sides are set as symmetrical ascending inclination surfaces to be arranged in parallel, and being protruded upward; a frame for mounting an aseismic object, allowing a pair of upper rails 12, 12 of which a center part assumes the highest part and both sides are set as symmetrical descending inclination surfaces to be arranged in parallel, and being arranged opposite to the base 1 on the upper side of the base 1; and a roller support shaft frame body 21 which rotatably pivotally supports rollers 32a to 32c brought into rolling contact with rail surfaces respectively on the outer sides of two pieces along the pair of lower rails 2, 2, and rotatably pivotally supports rollers 42a to 42c brought into rolling contact with rail surfaces respectively on the outer sides of other two pieces along the pair of upper rails 12, 12.
