A spring 7 to press the energize the shift lever shaft 2 only from one end side of the shaft 2 toward the locking position by the check mechanism 12 is provided. A mistaken shift can be avoided by correctly judging the gate position during the selection without damaging the operation feeling of the rider pattern.
