Abstract:
To provide a novel molybdenum recovery agent that has a small environmental load, is easy in operation, and has high molybdenum selectivity.SOLUTION: A selective molybdenum precipitant is provided which is used for selectively precipitating molybdenum from molybdenum-containing hydrochloric acid solution, wherein the selective molybdenum precipitant is obtained by mixing a compound of a formula (1) or its salt and a compound generating a nitric ion in water with hydrochloric acid. According to the present invention, the molybdenum is recovered by precipitation not by solvent extraction, consequently it is possible to provide a molybdenum recovery agent that does not use an organic solvent, not require strict pH adjustment and is easy in operability, and high in molybdenum selectivity.
