PURPOSE: To execute the high-speed operation of a selective calling device with a voice message function by temporarily encoding a voice signal and by reproducing the code by a voice synthesizer.

CONSTITUTION: A caller who calls a receiver holder and gives some message uses telephone set 1. In this telephone set 1, 10 messages are previously set up together with codes [0]∼[9] and the caller, when to send a voice message to the party subscriber, pushes once button [×] showing the transmission of words. For example, button [1] for message [Give me a ring] or button [2] for [Get home] is pushed. On the other hand, the message encoded at the reception side is led to memory circuit 15 via decoder part 11 and this circuit 15 drives voice synthesizer 16 to output the voice from a speaker.
