Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for selectively extracting Rh or Pd ions from a solution containing ions of a base metal and a platinum group metal.SOLUTION: An extractant of metal ions includes a compound represented by formula I. In the formula, Rand Rare each independently a hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted linear or branched 1-18C alkyl or the like (while, Rand Rare not same); Rand Rare each independently a hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted linear or branched 1-4C alkyl or the like, or Rand Rform cycloalkyl or aryl to be condensed with an imidazole ring together with a carbon atom on the imidazole ring to which Rand Rbond (cycloalkyl or aryl to be condensed with the imidazole ring is unsubstituted or substituted with one or a plurality of halogens).
