PURPOSE: To eliminate a shock due to the rarefaction of an air-fuel mixture in time of selection, by opening an LPG feed valve at a time little earlier than the interception of town gas when fuel is used after selecting from the high pressure town gas to low pressure liquefied petroleum gas.
CONSTITUTION: In case of an engine which uses two types as LPG and town gas in a selective manner, LPG is fed to a mixer 1, where it is mixed with air A, via an intercept valve 4, a pipe 8, a governor 3 and an air-fuel ratio adjusting valve 2, and further fed to an engine E as an air-fuel mixture. On the other hand, town gas TG is fed to the mixer 1 via an intercept valve 6, a pipe 9 and a governor 5. Either of both fuels is fed to the engine under control by selective on-off operations between these intercept valves 4 and 6, but at the time of selection from the high pressure town gas to the refulated low pressure LPG, it is recommended that the intercept valve 4 of the LPG and the governor 3 both be opened with a solenoid device in advance before closing the intercept valve 6 of the town gas, thus an engine shock in time of selection is obviated.
