To provide a selective operation mechanism for selectively operating a plurality of operated bodies so that one of them is regularly in an operating state without using the elastic force of a spring for retaining an operated body in one position and the other position, or regularly needing the elastic force with a simple structure.
Operating rods 18a-18c for independently operating the operated bodies are slidably arranged on a valve element 2, and a belt 25 as a flexible control member both ends of which are hooked on the valve element 2 is orthogonally slidably engaged with the operating rods 18a-18c, so that the operating rod laid in the working state is slid and returned back by a tensile force generated in the belt 25 when the other operating rods are operated and slid. This mechanism is applicable to the multi-way change-over valve of a water purifier or an electric contact.
