Abstract:

To provide a method for selectively oxidizing a hydrocarbon substrate, which innovatively removes a conventional refractory compound, attains a sulfur-free ultra-low desulfurization and simultaneously exhibits a removal effect even in denitrification.

The method for selectively oxidizing a hydrocarbon substrate comprises oxidizing a hydrocarbon substrate in the presence of a homogeneous catalyst expressed by an Mn+/first solvent or M1n+/second solvent/M2m+/third solvent and an oxidizing agent so that a useful oxygen-containing compound acting as a promoter for cetane number or octane number in a hydrocarbon substrate containing a transport fuel oil such as white spirit, gas oil, etc. , is simultaneously denitrified or desulfurized directly or converted into at least easily removable sulfur- or nitrogen-containing precursor in the adjustment and production of a large amount or a desired amount of an oxygen-containing compound.
