To easily acquire a required information message by allowing the receiver to inform only when the required information message is received in the case of receiving an information message service.

A receiving part consisting of a reception section 101, a decoder section 102 and an TD-ROM 103 of the radio selective calling receiver extracts a message signal when the receiving part detects a call signal addressed to itself in a radio selective calling signal and gives the message signal to a function control section 104. The message signal is stored in a message memory section 106. When the message signal is an information service signal, a keyword comparison processing section 1041 retrieves whether or not any of keywords stored in advance in a keyword memory section 107 is included in the message signal. The function control section 104 starts an information drive section 108 only when the keyword is retrieved to allow an interpolation section 109 to inform the reception of the message.
