Title:
SELECTIVE SEPARATION MEMBRANE FOR UNSATURATED HYDROCARBON AND SELECTIVE SEPARATING METHOD THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3238874
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high separation property and permeability for unsatd. hydrocarbons of a separation membrane used to separate unsatd. hydrocarbons from a mixture, by using a polymer having specified or higher rotation barrier energy of the main chain and having a specific range of d-spacing.
SOLUTION: This separation membrane used to selectively transmit and separate unsatd. hydrocarbons from a mixture containing unsatd. hydrocarbons and satd. hydrocarbons consists of a film essentially comprising a polymer having the following property. In this polymer, the rotation barrier energy of the main chain is ≥150cal/cm3 per unit Van der Waals volume in the min. repeating unit molecular structure, and the d-spacing measured by large angle X-ray diffraction method ranges 0.53 to 0.7nm (5.3 to 7.0&angst ). A mixture containing unsatd. hydrocarbons and satd. hydrocarbons is brought into contact with one surface of the membrane thus produced so as to selectively transmit and separate the unsatd. hydrocarbons through the membrane.
