PURPOSE: To provide a method, by which PEN bottles are easily separated from a mixture of PET buttles and FVC bottles and caps are easily separated from bottles with aluminum caps thereon.
CONSTITUTION: At least the neck part of a buttle 2 obtained among a mixture of PET bottles and PVC bottles with aluminum caps 3 thereon is put in a heating coil 1 so as to pass high frequency current through the ring-shaped coil 1 in order to induction-heat the aluminum cap for separating the cap by springing off the cap 3 through the mutual action between magnetic field and eddy current. Next, the whole bottle is heated up to 160-250°C and applied with external force under heated state or cooled state after heating, resulting in crushing PET bottles, which have revealed brittleness by hardening. The resultant crushed pieces are filtered by the sieve having the predetermined number of meshes so as to separate crushed pieces.
