Abstract:

To provide a selector for a coin capable of solving a problem wherein a wire provided to regulate and normalize a conveying attitude and a dropping position of the coin respectively causes defective dropping of the coin, in the selector for the coin provided with a mechanism for dropping the coin into a coin chute classified by denomination by pushing out a lower part of the coin with a pushing-out pin, in a process for conveying the coin while holding it between chain pins.

This selector is provided with a coin conveying means 2 for taking out the coin C one by one from a coin hopper 1 to be conveyed to an outside of the hopper, a lateral conveying path 17b positioned in a downstream of a coin determination means arranged in a downstream of the hopper, the coin chute 5 arranged in front of the lateral conveying path to receive the coin for each denomination, and a pushing-out means 30 for dropping the coin into the coin chute of the denomination corresponding thereto, and the selector is arranged with a guide rib 50 having a thin width of tip part in substantially parallel to a moving path of the coin and comprising a rigid material, to be advanced and retreated along an approaching and separating direction, with a prescribed space with respect to a front face of the coin, in front of the moving path of the coin in the lateral conveying path.
