Abstract:

To provide a selector valve for molten metal which enable accurately to prevent a mobile member or the like from being fastened with a metal coagulated after the stoppage of the operation while facilitating maintenance.

This selector valve for molten metal comprises a valve body 2 made of a heatproof material which has a recessed part 21 with a circular conical surface 25, an inflow hole 22 and outflow ports 23 and 24 bored in the conical surface 25, a rotary valve which has a conical slide surface 34 sliding being pressed onto the conical surface 25, and is provided with a valve hole 37 that is bored in the slide surface 34 while allowing selective communication making selective communication with the inflow hole 22 and the outflow holes 23 and 24 at a specified rotating position and is fitted into the recessed part 21 to rotate and an energizing means 4 which energizes the rotary valve 3 or the valve body 2 to press the slide surface 34 onto the conical surface 25.
