PURPOSE: To make it possible to keep a prosthetic appliance fixed firmly and for a long time in the adhesive sheet for fixing denture or other prosthetic appliance, by dotting water-soluble adhesive mucous membranes on one of the faces of non-water-soluble self-adhesive sheet.
CONSTITUTION: The self-adhesive sheet for fixing a prosthetic appliance is formed as non-water-soluble self-adhesive sheet 1, by kneading e.g. 30g styrene- isoprene-styrene block copolymer and 70g acrylic adhesive well and giving heat and pressure thereto to obtain a sheet form. After sticking tablet-shaped water-soluble adhesive mucous membranes 2 made of e.g. polyacrylic acid soda on one of the faces of this sheet 1 at the specified intervals, pressure is given to obtain self-adhesive sheet for fixing a prosthetic appliance. The adhesive sheet 3 is cut, for example, to the shape of denture 4 for the upper jaw and stuck on the denture 4 at its face 5 of non-water-soluble adhesive, and the adhesive mucous membranes 2 are applied against the fixing parts of the palate, alveolus, etc., and attached in a meshing manner.
