Title:
SELF-ALIGNING ROLLER BEARING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000081036
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an increased life for a bearing by reducing the occurrence of scoring and wear due to slide friction of the end face of a roller and to facilitate the increase of load capacity of a bearing due to the increase of length of the roller, in an self-aligning roller bearing using a comb-shaped machined cage for guiding an outer ring in each roller row.

In a self-aligning roller bearing wherein a comb-shaped machine cage in an outer ring guide is used for regulation of a distance between rollers 5 and 6 in each roller row, comb-shaped machined cages 28 and 29 are arranged independently in each roller row. The cages 28 and 29 are arranged in a form that the ring parts 28a and 29a are brought into abutment against each other back to back so that the ring parts 28a and 29a of the adjoining holders 28 and 29 during rotation of a bearing are brought into contact with each other. Guide surfaces 28c and 29c to prevent the occurrence of skew of rollers 5 and 6 due to contact with the end faces of the holding rollers 5 and 6 are formed at the ring parts 28a and 29a, respectively.
