Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-aligning roller bearing in which the skew of a spherical roller can be suppressed.SOLUTION: The self-aligning roller bearing includes a cage 20 holding double row spherical rollers 13, the cage 20 has a toric rim 21, a plurality of bar parts 22 extending from the rim 21 to the axial outside, and pockets 23 rollably holding the spherical rollers 13, a circumferential side surface 22a of the bar parts 22 is formed into a concave shape opposed to a rolling contact surface 13a of the spherical roller 13, a bottom face 23a of the pocket 23 is formed into a planar shape. When a circumferential clearance B is the sum of clearances B1, B2 between the maximum diameter of the rolling contact surface 13a of the spherical roller 13 and the maximum pocket diameter of the circumferential side surface 22a of the bar part 22, and an axial clearance C is a clearance between an end face 13b of the spherical roller 13 and the bottom face 23a of the pocket 23 while the center axis of the cage 20 is located on the center axis of the self-aligning roller bearing 10 and the spherical roller 13 is located at the circumferential center of the pocket 23, the self-aligning roller bearing satisfies a relationship of 1.45≤B/C≤2.32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
