Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-aligning rolling bearing which can prevent the generation of scratches of spherical rollers at insertion into pockets, and the occurrence of a malfunction such as the non-insertion of the spherical rollers into the pocket.SOLUTION: A self-aligning rolling bearing comprises: an outer ring 3 having an outer raceway surface which is formed of a recessed curved face at an internal periphery; an inner ring 4 having two-row inner raceway surfaces which are formed of recessed curved faces at an external periphery; a plurality of spherical rollers 5 which are arranged in two rows between the outer ring and the inner ring; a pair of cages 2 which hold the two-row spherical rollers with an interval in a peripheral direction at each row; and a guide ring 6 which is arranged between the rows of the two-row spherical rollers between the cages and the inner ring. A pair of the cages have a plurality of pockets which accommodate the spherical rollers, and are the same in number as that of the spherical rollers. At least one pocket out of the plurality of pockets of the cages has an area larger than an area of a cross section passing rotational axes of the spherical rollers when viewed from a radial direction, and the spherical roller can pass the at least one pocket without being interfered with an internal edge of the pocket.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
