Abstract:
To provide a novel technique for easily producing a short-length carbon fiber bundle having a bundle size smaller than that of continuous carbon fiber bundle, using the continuous carbon fiber bundle as raw material, a technique for producing a carbon fiber bundle easy to use as a reinforcing material for FRP from a carbon fiber recovered from waste of a CFRP or remnants of a prepreg, a novel reinforcing material for a heat-curable prepreg, and a novel heat-curable prepreg using SACFB as a reinforcing material and a production method of the same.SOLUTION: A prepreg comprises a heat-curable resin composition, and a self-assembled carbon fiber bundle impregnated with the heat-curable resin composition, where all of the carbon fibers contained in the self-assembled carbon fiber bundle has a fiber length of 60 mm or shorter, 40 mm or shorter, 30 mm or shorter, or 20 mm or shorter.SELECTED DRAWING: None
