Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a self controlling heater apparatus for an explosionproof electrical apparatus wherein even if any accident happens, temperature is prevented from rising beyond the temperature of firing in an explosion atmosphere and electrical spark does not occur.
SOLUTION: A self controlling heater apparatus 40 for an explosionproof electrical apparatus is adapted such that, in an explosionproof electrical apparatus used in an explosionproof atmosphere including a portion controlled by heating with a heater apparatus at a predetermined time, the foregoing heater apparatus is constructed as a self controlling heater apparatus, where it prevents the foregoing heating control section from rising in temperature beyond firing temperature of the explosive atmosphere in order to prevent the explosive atmosphere from undergoing induced explosion. A self controlling heater wire 42 comprises two conductor wire conductors 44a, 44b disposed in parallel, to which wires voltage is applied, a self controlling heating resistor 46 which couples the two wire conductors, band shaped and in which its resistance rapidly increases following the temperature rise, and an insulation coating 48 for electrically insulating an outer periphery of the self controlling heating resistor 46. One end of the self controlling heater apparatus is employed as a power supply connection section 60 for electric power application with the other end being electrically insulated with a terminal processing section 54.
